Quick guide to creating your own startup banner:
If you still use just a plain old Desktop Boot file to start your
machine, then you need to change it to a !Boot application. I'm not
going to go into this here, it's all in the manual anyway; look up the
section on installing a scsi filing system.
In the "Resources" folder there is another dir called "DESKTOP". Copy
this to somewhere else.
It's obvious what to do to the "Messages" file - change it to read what
you like, although try not to make your messages too long, or you'll
have characters chopped off each end.
The "Pre:" heading places a message in the same place as Pineapples
"VProtect" module, so you might want to either not bother with this, or
load VProtect after your new desktop module.
Then you have to place this new messages file into the Resource filing
system. There are many programs available that will do this, I use
!ResMod by Joe Walker, although !Widget is a good one to use, it's quite
friendly and helpful.
That was easy wasn't it?
